Ryan started at HEFR in September 2017, while he was still in high school. The previous owners, Dave Wittmayer and Lora Hansen, brought him on with a plan: train him from the ground up, rather than retrain someone else's habits. It worked — Ryan earned his ASE Master Certification in less than two years.
Dave had a saying: work here five years, and he'd teach you enough to run your own shop. That's exactly what happened. When the opportunity came for Ryan and his wife to buy the business, they took it — and today, they're committed to taking HEFR to the next level while keeping everything that's always made this shop trustworthy and a shop that treats your truck like it's their own.
HEFR has been a fixture of Camp Verde's automotive and fleet repair scene since 2002, earning a reputation across the Verde Valley for doing the job right. We're a certified Green Shop — one of the first three shops in Arizona recognized through a pilot program with the Arizona Department of Environmental Quality for going above and beyond to reduce environmental impact. Our technicians are ASE Certified, and the shop holds memberships with SWAP - South West Automotive Professionals, and the International Automotive Technicians Network, backed by ALLDATA's professional repair information system.
In an ever-changing automotive industry, staying ahead of vehicle technology is essential. That’s why we host technician training classes twice a year and attend the annual Sun Rise training event in Phoenix. From foundational mechanics to advanced diagnostic systems, our team continually expands their skills to ensure your truck or auto repair is handled with the highest level of expertise and care.
